Role Overview

• BlueForge Technologies develops innovative solutions in the field of maritime technologies. We are seeking an experienced CFD Engineer to support the hydrodynamic optimization of our autonomous surface vehicles.
  This role will be based at our R&D headquarters located in 1773 İTÜ Teknopark, Istanbul.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CFD simulations for surface and underwater marine vehicles
• Build and run simulation models to support design optimization
• Conduct flow analysis on components such as impellers, nozzles, and hull structures
• Compare CFD results with experimental data and perform validation studies
• Collaborate closely with the design and R&D teams
• Prepare technical reports and present findings in a clear and structured format

 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in CFD-related engineering roles
• Strong theoretical knowledge of fluid mechanics and heat transfer
• Analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in R&D projects is a plus
• Proficiency in CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent, CFX, or OpenFOAM
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Siemens NX)
• Solid understanding of meshing, boundary conditions, and solver setups
• Basic knowledge of scripting tools such as Python or MATLAB (preferred)
• Prior experience in CFD applications for maritime systems is a strong asset
